Museum "Silent Night, Holy Night"

This small inconspicuous log cabin wrote music history. When the Zillertal organ builder Karl Mauracher came across the texts and notes of the Christmas carol "Silent Night, Holy Night" during a repair in Salzburg in the 18th century, he took it to the Zillertal, where it rehearsed with the church choir. At the beginning of the 19th century, Rainer and Strasser carried it from the Zillertal to Europe and to the rest of the world.

"Schmankerlfest"

The annual "Schmankerlfest" in July invites regional specialties such as "Zillertal donuts", "Melchermuas", "Holzknechtkrapfen", "Schliachternudeln" and "Schmankerlwurst" to a feast for connoisseurs. An entertaining day with local music from the Zillertal.
